webfork on 28 Feb 2017
  • 652KB (uncompressed)

@s66901024: Sorry, not in the near future

Mixture on 2020-08-29 09:42

The website of Drag'n'Crypt has a grim notice posted:

Drag'n'Crypt ULTRA is history.
The further development of the program, sales and support will officially be discontinued on August 1st, 2020. Inquiries are no longer answered. DCU is no longer available for download.
Other sites that host DCU are also asked not to offer the program for download anymore and to delete the listing.
Switching to a different encryption software, which is currently still being used, is urgently indicated, as permanent program maintenance is important for security reasons.
I would like to thank everyone who accompanied and supported me in the development of DCU. It was an exciting time.

Interesting, effective, but slow.

An option to limit folder recursion might help (you can say %PrettyRunDrive%\portableapps -- for instance -- but the scan subfolders option is going to make PrettyRun go to a lot of unhelpful places, whereas if you could restrict it to just one subfolder down, it might be faster.

The MP3 tag search is also quite slow.

It's not the most intuitive to set up, either.

FindAndRunRobot (from www.donationcoder.com) has a similar philosophy to this but is much, much faster (despite also taking a similarly non-indexed approach) and has a lot more functionality, too.

I could have sworn I installed MiniBin correctly for portable use, however months later I saw it created a Start Menu folder. Nothing in the registry, however so it could just be a mistake on my end.

The program uses the Tor network's hidden services feature to send messages between peers with authentication and encryption based on public key exchange.

Also available for Linux.

TorChat author has moved the project page.

+++ Feb-05, 2012: This project has been moved to github https://github.com/prof7bit/TorChat +++
Further development of TorChat will continue at github, effective immediately. I have not yet decided what should happen to this project page and repository here at googlecode, for now I will just leave it as it is and just not update it any longer, I will mark all downloads as deprecated and eventually remove the project page, close the issue tracker and maybe even commit an rm -rf to the svn repository.

May be it is worth to update the links.

Yeas, my mistake, was referring to Minibin, oops....

shnbwmn on 2016-03-16 06:43

If you just want the recycle bin in the systray area on your main PC, then another way is to add it via quick launch. Right-click taskbar, toolbars, add ... %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch ... Unlock taskbar, untick show text/titles, tick large icons under view, lock taskbar. You can now drag items to this and they'll be added to the RB; right-click lets you empty it, and of course clicking it will open it.

Then you're free to remove that damned icon from the desktop. I know this isn't portable and of course it doesn't have the extra functions, but again, this is just if you want it in your tray on your main PC.
