I like YOD'm but deskspace is cool, in that... they fix things YOD'm was lacking (6 sides making a complete cube, faster rotation, a background BEHIND the cube, etc) But yod'm is good for free ... Unless you need more then 4 desktops :-P

Hi, in my work, I run a lot of batch actions in Photoshop to process images for web. While the batch process ran, I wasn't able to do nothing with my computer because Photoshop kept jumping with images being resized.

Well not anymore, thanks to Yod'm 3D, I was able to switch desktops and leave Photshop doing its business while I did something else.

I hope this tip is helpful to someone who uses this kind of batch processing.

Cheers!

This is very cool looking but the effects get pretty old fast and it's no longer free. Those who prefer efficiency should checkout other desktop managers listed on this site.

What's new? Added a fix for right-click drag bug, added more program support, tweaked Explorer navigation.

I suggest radialm[http://www.romeosa.com/ajax/radialm ]: it adds gesture capabilities to any program, it's portable and opensource and it can show a radial menu for your gestures. It support also rocket gestures and hotkeys configurations

Webfork on 2007-05-24 22:08

In reference to the alternate suggestions of StrokeIT and Radialm:

- StrokeIT is definitely not portable (required a reboot)
- Radialm might be portable but seems to have some sort of problem with Firefox using a language other than English that couldn't be changed.

As such, I wouldn't suggest users look to these for portable freeware.

senfi on 2007-06-03 09:31

language can be changed by double-clicking on radialm tray icon -> Edit(from menu bar) -> Radial Menu Editor -> Select Firefox -> Change all names as you want. Also you can add as many radial menu as you want and rocket gestures can be personalized for every program.radialm is totally portable

A new program update is out (1.1) but I'm not going to post it to the forums because this program sucks.

Emka on 2011-12-27 12:37

v2.x is out, dont know if still portable or still sucking ;-)

Mixture on 2012-07-28 03:24

I downloaded the ZIP package today and much to my surprise, I did not get version 2.0.90304 as listed on the website. Instead, I got version 1.0.70403. Strike ONE.
Based on my limited testing with version 1.0.70403, I can say the password generator is very insecure. It will generate only 10 character password with only lower case letters and numbers. Strike TWO.
You can manually input your own much longer and more secure passwords in you like, but a built-in password generator is supposed to create secure passwords for you, so you don't have to do it manually.
@Luc, you are right. It is a strange way to enter data into the database. I had to enter something in the Username field and the Password field as well as the Caption field, THEN click Insert before I successfully was able to add a record to the Record list.
I was unable to find any kind of Help file. No mention of what kind of encryption algorithm in used to secure your database. All they claim is 'It utilizes a highly secure multi tier encryption algorithm to securely store all your information.' Whatever that means. Strike THREE.
I would not recommend this software.

My Comodo antivirus stopped downloading Link Locker because of a malicious threat. Maybe that is why this software has no website.

webfork on 2013-01-05 19:11

It's probably just a very old program and Comodo is being overcautious (which we all want from our AV programs). I'll try to find a mirror.

One of the best in this category, but it does not support unicode.

ed on 2007-09-01 04:51

I have been using ClipSecure for over a year now, and I love it. I use it for my emails with my family and to secure my confidential documents on my portable USB dive when I travel. I keep a copy on the drive and load it onto any computer I use at any net cafe. I am not a sophisticated user, and it is very convenient and user friendly for me.

Hola on 2007-05-13 02:13

Seems just the app I needed too but Mcafee is blocking the RunwithDLL.exe.
WTF is new malware.J Anyway?

Local on 2007-07-21 07:44

New malware.j seems to be anything that mcafee doesn't like the look of.
It's picked up with their heuristic scanners.
So far I have about 35 of these "possible viruses" and everything is running just how I want it on my pc.

I think mcafee targets any program that might be in competition but free.
Actually I heard somewhere that it basically means it's packed with UPX.

bellgamin on 2007-10-20 12:31

It's a good idea. System Safety Monitor (SSM) does the same thing & MUCH more. However, SSM is not free.

This program saved a few of my documents to plane text (document was saved at the end of the file.) Not sure if I am just using a password that's too long. Check it with Notepad++
