If you’re looking for a simple, easy way to switch your desktop icons display on and off – literally at the press of a button – then check out this tiny little free app.
HideDesktopIcons emulates the “display desktop icon” command in the Windows context menu, packaged in a simple icon that can be placed anywhere (or alternately launched via a keyboard shortcut). A single click will hide the desktop icons and/or display them again; there is no user interface or any dialogs of any sort.

Linkbar will come in handy for users that need more than one taskbar on their desktop.
The application is totally customizable, from Icon size, padding or position on the screen.
Moreover, Linkbar provides users with an Autohide option and the ability to open multiple instances.

Notepad++ is a tabbed source code editor and Notepad replacement with a customizable interface. Includes source code "folding", allowing users to quickly reduce and expand sections of code to see the overall document. In addition, it features multi-language syntax highlighting, auto-completion, Perl-compatible regular expression search/replace, macro recording and playback, document map etc.

A host of additional functionality is available via the plugins admin view, including tools for file analysis, programming languages, viewers, calculations, user interface and many more.

Alternatively, Notepad++ Portable and the outdated X-Notepad++ clean the local folder.

Blender is a powerful, integrated 3D creation software suite with character/solids modeling, animation, rendering, rigging, shading, motion tracking and post-processing tools. It lets users create high quality 3D graphics, movies and replay real-time, interactive 3D content. Its features can be extended with a variety of plug-ins, scripts, templates and more.

Cross platform (Mac, Linux). The program has been used for a wide variety of functions, including VFX, video edition, modeling etc.

Mp3tag views, edits and filters metadata for common audio formats. Information can be manually added, removed, imported and exported to a variety of formats. The program supports online freedb database lookups for selected files, allowing you to automatically gather proper tag information for select files or CDs. It can also rename files based on the tag information, replace characters or words from tags and filenames, import/export tag information, create playlists and more.

The program can even generate playlists from provided audio files. Supports ID3, Vorbis Comments, APE, MP4 and TAK Lossless.

Shutter Encoder is a portable, cross-platform software for converting videos, audio files and images. It's particularly useful for video editors as it offers a wide range of features including:

• Converting between various video and audio formats
• Extracting specific portions of videos or audio files
• Adding logos or watermarks
• Adjusting video/audio quality through encoding settings
• Analyzing audio loudness

KVIrc (K Visual IRC) is a customizable Internet Relay Chat client allowing multiple server connections, notify and ignore lists, mIRC font codes, themes, and more. The program supports standard + extended direct connect connections (with resume), IPv6, SOCKv4, SOCKSv5, and HTTP proxies. It also comes with a sophisticated scripting language that allows you to implement automated reactions to network events.

The program is cross-platform with clients available for Mac, BSD and Linux. KVIrc Portable is a portable wrapper for KVIrc. Alternatively, you can make standard KVIrc portable by following these instructions.

OpenCloseDriveEject lets you easily explore and eject storage devices by their drive letters, presenting everything under one roof in a simple user interface. This includes USB, CD, DVD, Blue-Ray drives, external HDD and SSD, SD cards, etc.

ArsClip remembers the most recent clipboard entries and allows you to quickly paste one or multiple items into a program by pressing a hotkey (by default Ctrl+Shift+Z). You can configure it to monitor both text and other data types and lets you create permanent items that are always visible. There are also multiple ways for entering items into a program, including a "form mode" for pasting to multiple fields in one step (e.g. name, date, address etc.).
