Park Cursor Aside moves the mouse cursor aside to a defined screen / active window position whenever you type on keyboard. This way your view of the input field is not blocked by the mouse cursor.
Right click on tray icon and select Settings, to define the parking position and other values.

Very nice - one of the more interesting and intuitive virtual desktop applications I've used. I'd like it to automatically move to a window when I use Alt+Tab (or otherwise give focus), though.

This rather unique utility is a must for smaller screen devices like netbooks, for instance. Highly recommended. |
GridMove tries to make windows management easier by defining a visual grid on your desktop, to which you can easily snap windows. This program comes bundled with some predefined grid templates that can be easily swapped, but also includes ways to create custom grids and share them with others.
Additional features include tools for resizing, displaying windows in cascade or mosaic views, and making a window remain on top, and more.

I've been meaning to try this just so I can emulate the AeroSnap feature from Windows 7 on Windows XP.

This program is amazing. It's the only one I've found so far that actually let's you define a GRID as opposed to merely snapping windows to borders or resizing windows in increments.

Ah, my db changes were stupid again! Do I understand it correctly NOW: v1.86 is actually the last portable one? Then we probably should have that version with the softpedia link above in the db.

I've used this for years now but recently it's started crashing without notice on my Win7x64 machine. I'm actively looking for alternatives. |

@CB13RY: from my quick checking, it seems that if you run the portable version once, it creates a 'Settings.ini' file in the application folder; you can edit this file with any text editor to change the paths included -- I was able to change from absolute path to filename only... |

Maybe it's the new version (1.7), but this doesn't seem to save settings in the application folder. If not, it's not portable (settings aren't portable).

Settings aren't really portable, but in view of their number and the nature of the program, that's not really an issue, IMHO... |

I just tried one and it no longer appears to be stealth. The individual clocks used to store settings in the application folder as hidden files, but that no longer appears to be the case. |

version 1.41.09, Nov 08, 2010 [*]Added "Feb 29" as a valid date for yearly events. Added the possibility to edit an event directly from the main window, using Ctrl+DoubleClick when the pointer is over the event. Changed the $Age{} macro to accept zero and negative years. The English version of the $Age{} macro is always accepted, no matter the language of the program. Created the dutch version of the program (Thanks to Thibaud Chabot). |

Nice try, but... If you want a really cool and free daily reminder program, try DateTrac, available at soucek.clearwire.net/filetrac.html It reminds you at system boot time then exits, rather than remaining in your tray and sucking resource all day long. ZERO registry entries, so it's totally portable. Give it a try.

Nice look and feel. However, I gauge any reminder system by whether it can do the Thanksgiving (2nd Tuesday October in Canada or 4th Thursday November USA), or every x weeks. This one unfortunately doesn't do either. |

Using the numpad was an obvious setting for me, but that's why all the hotkeys are configurable in the single .ini file to set to your needs.
