ChrisControl is a RDP + VNC remote control tool. It scans the remote system to see if either RDP or VNC servers are running and connects using the corresponding protocol if found. If neither are found, it prompts the user to remotely install VNC Server onto the remote system, then connect to the remote system via VNC.

EVEREST Home Edition is a system information, system diagnostics and benchmarking solution for home PC users. It offers memory benchmarks, hardware monitoring, and low-level hardware information. The Home Edition will not run on machines connected to a domain. For those, you will need to buy the Professional Edition.

Note: EVEREST has gone totally commercial from 1 Dec 2005, so you will no longer be able to download the Home Edition from their website. The last free version is V2.20, which I have provided a local mirror for. Thanks for P J for alerting me to this.

ClipX is a tiny clipboard manager. It either sits in your tray or runs invisibly, and maintains a text clipboard history in real time. Selecting an item restores that clipboard and injects its text in the current application. History may be saved across sessions. ClipX can also be extended by optional plugins that may be downloaded from the website.

Disable/Remove Windows Messenger disables Windows Messenger on a per-user or machine-wide basis. You may need administrator level privileges to run this program. On WinXP SP1, you will receive an error message about unregistering an OCX file. This is expected and does not affect the removal process.
