Synopsis: DSpeech is a text-to-speech program with the option of saving the output to a variety of formats, great for creating audio books from text sources. It also supports dynamically changing the features of the voices e.g. insert pauses, emphasize specific words, spell them out etc. using tags.The program works out-of-the-box on WinXP and above, using reviewing text or creating audio books. The program uses Microsoft~~he included~~'s Minc~~rosoft speech engine SAPI5. For WinNT/2K, yo~~lu ~~will ne~~ded ~~to install the s~~ speeech en enginee SAPI5 but also seupaports dynamicatel~~y. Y~~ly changing the features of the voices u ~~will f~~sing tags e.g. indsert lpauses, emphasize specifinkc words, s tpell them out etc.The p~~lugins,~~ rogram can do simple audio/voice re~~ech e~~cording~~ine~~s to save to WAV, and vinclude some basic dictation / voice secontrol ts on ols ("ASR" for Aut~~he pr~~o~~gra~~matic ~~website.The pr~~Speech Recog~~ram~~nition). It also supports dyyn~~amical~~amically changing the features of the voices eg. insert pauses, emphasize specific words, spelly them out etc. using tags.The program cang ingmport thtext f~~eatu~~res ofm ~~the voices eg.~~TXT, DOC, DOCX, RTF, HTML, XML, and PDF ian~~sert~~ d outpau~~ses,~~t ~~emphasize~~to MP3, ~~specific words~~OGG, AAC, ~~spell them out etc. using tags~~WMA.DSpeech works out-of-the-box on WinX~~P because~~P and above because the Micrososoft speech engine SAPI5 is inc~~lud~~luded byy defa~~ult. If you want~~ ult~~o run DSpeech~~. Fonr WinNT/2K, you will need to install the speech engine separately. You will find links to plugins, speech engines and voice sets on the program website.
