It's just great. I may even say it's "essential". Most adress books have thousands of applications and functions, this one is so simple that it's perfect (reminds me of a mobile phone adress-phone book). The idea is names, adress, phone numbers and e-mails-urls. It has a search function which is really basic (not that good), but the fact that it runs independntly as a portable app is just sweet. Load the tiny exe and your dat file into your usb memory stick and carry your phone numbers anywhere you go. Oh... u may also use a cool background image easily. The only bad thing is that it is so simple, u can easily "accidentally" delete information too, so be careful since it doesn't ask if "you are sure".... hmmm. OOOH and changing information may be a bit tricky, but besides that....free, simple, portable, small... just perfect. A perfect tool even for your grandma's knowledge about computer software. I call it, "adress book for dummies".

@spicydog: ESET has long detected one of the installers on that site (dssfv_setup.exe) as a virus. I have notified them on a number of occasions that it is a false positive (based on scans of that file from Jotti's, VirSCAN.org and VirusTotal), but with no result. It would seem as though they have now blocked the entire domain. All you can do is to lodge a job with ESET support. The website hasn't been updated in a long time, but if the webmaster was still around, if you could get them to lodge a job as well, that would help. |

Upgrade (via loading trillian and autoupdate feature) to 3.1.10 (may 2008) unsucessful. Had to manually reinstall and re portable it. Successfully did so (Copied entire directory to portable trillian folder and replaced all but kept read-only files. Seems to be running fine. Trillian 3.1.10 ready for use.

It still connects to their website even if i check off updates/anonymous statistics/important news. Despite this i find this to be the most user friendly chat client i've ever used.
