nice and easy ftp server with all the necessary features. +++

Webfork on 2007-08-06 18:12

Working link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ftpserv

This project has not been updated since late 2003. This *may* mean there are unpatched security vulnerabilities. Use at your own risk or for temporary transfers. Consider the super-simple Baby FTP Server
http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=449 or the non-portable Filezilla Server http://filezilla.sf.net

Orme on 2010-12-04 07:59

In fact, as a long-time user of TypSoft FTP server for quick temporary transferts, I reverted to version 1.00 because 1.10 and the short lived 1.11 patch ( TypSoft site was hijacked shortly after its release ) had problems if you did not have a genuine FTP client for browsing, while 1.00 still allows explorers and firefoxes as clients.

I have this game, and.. it's remarkably bad for a tetris clone. It crashes on occasion, and if your keyboard timing is just right (or wrong) weird glitches happen.

Don' get this.

GrahamG on 2009-10-08 15:21

I agree with Erik. On Windows Vista Home Premium this did not run well. Kept crashing and generally misbehavin'.

This very tiny application works very well and can be used even to determine if your USB ports are USB 1 or USB 2 - I have 4 USB 2 ports and 6 USB 1 and I did not know which was which.

Same with me. I tried to use DefragNT 1.90 under a BartPE pre-install environment disc built using Windows XP SP2 and had the same problem. It worked for about 2 minutes and then quit.

mehtuus on 2008-05-23 15:52

According to the author's website, this software was last updated in March 2004 to version 1.9.0. A quick look at the site gives the appearance that nothing has changed since then. I am thinking that the development on this program is non-existent.

Carl on 2009-03-19 17:35

Tried it with XP SP2 on an NTFS drive repeatedly. As soon as I'd choose the c: drive partition it would hang every time; had to do ctl-alt-del.

be careful with this one! i accidentally assigned a hotkey that conflicted with one used by my file manager. when i hit the key to switch desktops, bosskey crashed, and i couldn't for the life of me get back to my other desktops, where unsaved work was calling to me. i lost an hour of writing because of this program...

@jameson I think you would do better to be careful when assigning hotkeys

Very very Good !!! Develop somthing to convert Word/Excel etc to PDF without having to go through aquisition and installation of Printer driver

P Smith on 2009-01-25 12:17

PDFproducer is not fancy and will produce text-only PDFs in only one of three fonts, and the entire document is only one font size, but it's quick and it works very well.

Use Open Office if you want a free program to make more complex PDFs including pictures or different fonts and sizes. Open Office can export documents as PDFs.

Finally, an MP3 Tagger that will autonumber Track numbers.
Many MP3 players sort by track number, and if you are doing sequential podcasts or other downloaded stuff, the track numbers are often non-existent, and they play out of order.
I have used a dozen or so other taggers and so far must change each tag one by one, and often each one requiring multiple mouseclicks or keystrokes.
