SeqDownload downloads an image file on a time scale you set to your local drive. Although this is primarily for "live" images updated frequently on the internet, it can also be used for other types of files.

With this, you can easily create a beautiful animation from the downloaded images or simply watch the historical images on your local download folder. On non-image files, you can make sure you always have the very latest file.

i like this download manager because this needs no serial number

freakazoid on 2012-01-22 23:52

This is actually a pretty neat download manager for its size. I removed a lot of the columns to make it more like a download manager and less like a timed download app.

A good backup when I'm not using Opera or Firefox with DownThemAll.

From the app's version history:
Version 1.21 - Fixed bug: In some computers, when cleaning USB devices, the USB mouse/keyboard devices were also removed, and the user had to unplug and plug them again.

Thanks all.

After starting the system later during the day, it got logged in without asking for any password. Does it mean that the prog has got a copy of the pwd when enables an automatic log in considering the fact that some startup entries were removed and a new desktop startup entry was added (as per Spybot)?

I ran 3 other major cleaner programs here on the site (Bleechbit, CCleaner, and PureRA) and this program still found more to delete. If you're using an public computer, this seems to be THE program to run before you leave.

CreateDir v1.3

webfork on 27 Aug 2016
  • 343KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 30 Apr 2009
  • Suggested by infimum

CreateDir quickly generates a directory chain and then opens the terminal folder. So for example, setting "c:\temp\win\dir\" will create that folder structure and then open the "dir" folder in explorer. Useful for quickly creating folders for required system folders, demos, and other operations.

The program includes a /q switch "Quiet Mode" for use with scripts and batch files. In this mode, directories are created without confirmation and not opened in explorer. Use /? switch for help dialog.

How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch CreateDir.exe.

What's new?
  • Added /q and /? command line switches. /q runs in Quiet Mode. Also accepts more than one directory on command line. If /q then the directories will be created without confirmation and the folders will not be opened in explorer afterward. Multiple directories on command line without the /q switch will confirm each and the folder will be launched minimized so that it doesn't obscure the input box for the next confirmation.

FYI: does the same as mkdir && cd

ie: mkdir "c:\temp\sub\install\var1\home" && cd "c:\temp\sub\install\var1\home"

To adhere to Vista/7 defaults, Disk Cleaner no longer writes to the application folder by default, but to the users %APPDATA% folder instead. Old behavior (that is, portable) is still supported by running Disk Cleaner with the -p command line switch.

kanu on 2013-06-12 12:09

That's right, Robert. Using the -p switch the program first tries to find a dcsettings.ini file on the program folder, if it doesn't exist then goes to %APPDATA%\Disk Cleaner — if this doesn't exist neither then it creates that folder and file. That's why the first time used -even with the -p switch- the program creates that undesired location.

Create an empty dcsettings.ini on the Disk Cleaner folder before the first run and add the -p parameter. That will do it.
Cheers.

Midas on 2013-06-12 18:01

Following Kanu instructions, latest Disk Cleaner version (1.8.1795 Beta) appears to be portable...

It looks as if Lupo's UniExtractor (1.6) is having troubles with the latest Launchy executable v2.5.

"Signature detected: Inno Setup Setup Data (5.3.8)
This is not directly supported, but i'll try to unpack it as version 5306
; Version detected: 5308
Unpacking failed. This version is not supported."

Mike.S.G. on 2010-04-07 03:50

This is how I fixed the problem...

I use Lupo's Universal Extractor - get the latest (v1.6 R8) updated Jan, 23, 2010. One problem, 'InnoUnp' is only @ 0.28, so you will need to get the latest 'innounp.exe' and update the \bin folder. This will do the trick, 'Launchy2.5.exe' can be extracted.

Okay, just took a look at the features list. It doesn't offer hotkey support to launch programs like Executor does. But the program is quite powerful, just not as powerful as Executor ;)

Most disk space tools show only folder sizes until you "zoom in"; DriveSort is a shortcut to show which specific files are usually of greatest interest.

I recommend using Everything (http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1479) instead and organize results by date. This program runs a little faster than Everything's initial drive search and then sort, but solves the issue of not being able to resize the DriveSort the window, not being able to change the top files to 50 or 200, or the ability to update automatically with new file changes.
