Nvu is a web authoring system (like FrontPage or DreamWeaver) that features WYSIWYG editing of web pages, integrated file management via FTP and tabbed editing that makes working on multiple pages a snap. It includes support for forms, tables, and templates.
Note: KompoZer Portable is considered an unofficial bug fix based on the same code. The Nvu Project has ended and PortableApps lists KompoZer on the former home page.

his is a great program. While set up to easly open and edit html files, I found I can also open and edit asp pages as well. I really like how it color codes the html on the source view page
An excellent basic HTML editor for new and intermediate Web page authors. Although the program has a few bugs here and there, it is easily one of the best free (non-text only) Web page editors available. Its cross-platform nature (windows, linux, mac) means you'll be able to edit your files no matter where you are.
Because NVU was never updated after its initial creation, a successor with some bug fixes and additional features is the also portable KompoZer: http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1209
A really amazing tool to deal with. Unlike gimmeyermoney programs, this freeware's got unrestricted features, see by yourself e.g asp and so on...
When encountering such free softwares, the will to support it giving even a few comes as being the only right way to use it. So, why not give a bit more to keep the freeware system alive ?

I Love it.
It's almost like Dreamweaver.
The application is now named as "KompoZer"
