VirtuaWin is a highly customizable virtual desktop manager that lets you organize applications over a two or more "desktops" with their own separate windows and applications (also called "workspaces"). The program can reduce distractions or help organize a cluttered desk space with too many windows open.
Alternatively, a PortableApps version is also available.

what are the differences between 4.4 and 4.5? working on windows 10? version 4.4 not working good on windows 10 but is amazing on windows 7!
v4.5
@Midas: Thank you! That was the solution. Right click - Properties - Unblock. I think this program is a keeper.
v4.5 Beta2
@Provy: that usually happens with help files downloaded from the Internet -- they need to be unblocked, usually through right-clicking and selecting the corresponding button.
v4.5 Beta2
The Help function pulls up a Help window with an Index (Table of Contents) but not with actual text and images content. There are quite a few options to this program, and I'd like to really get to know it. Any advice?
v4.5 Beta2
@MnX: Can`t you just add an entry to your start folder?
v4.4
This IS the one! Close enough to the Linux LXDE/OB style for me! I've got it set for 2 dt's and to switch with the cursor on Win 8 CP. I just wish I could figure out how to get it to run at startup. (I'm guessing because it's a portable, it doesn't show up in CCleaner startup list.)
V4.4
This is best FREE+PORTABLE+LIGHTWEIGHT multi-desktop manager can manage up to 20 desktops. Much better than Despot, Monitors, Yo'3D.
V4.3
darkest: I think that refers to those keys being registered with some other program in Windows, but they may not be active. You can test this using ActiveHotkeys http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1770, but there's no way to find out what program has those keys registered. If its really annoying, I'd post on VirtuaWin's site to figure out how to suppress error msgs.
V4.3
question: it keeps telling me that it failed to register the hotkeys 1/4. What does it mean through? it works just fine for me.
V4.3
@bronex: according to the changelog (click the eye button above) mostly bugfixes...
v4.5
