Password Corral is a password manager that encrypts stored information, keeping it safe from prying eyes. Each password can have both a short description and comments which can also contain hyperlinks to launch your web browser. Each entry can include an expiration date to remind you to change it.

Uses Blowfish or Diamond2 algorithms.

How to extract:
  1. Download the "no setup" ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice
  2. Launch password4.exe
  3. Click on the double-arrow sign at the login screen and select "Use the Password Corral program folder" before clicking on "New User" to create the data file
What's new?
  • The auto-export feature now exports using the same file name as the user account that is logged in, instead of the last used auto-export file name. File names are no longer stored as part of the auto-export path.
  • The Search Text field is now cleared in the Find dialog box when switching between user accounts.
  • The New Password and Modify Password dialog boxes are now wider and taller.
  • The password expiration fields now allow for 4 digit numbers instead of 3 digit numbers.

Just a warning - do not enable the 'Password Protect while in System Tray' option without also enabling the 'Minimise to Taskbar Tray' option as well. If you only enable the 'Password Protect' option, and you minimise the program to the Taskbar, when you restore the window, and then try and do anything, you will receive a crash that will likely corrupt your password database.

It's repeatable, and has been reported to the program author as a bug. If you have both options enabled, there is no problem. It is only when you have the password protect option enabled and the minimise option disabled that the problem occurs.

Program has now been updated to v4.04. Still a great utility, only wish it would offer AES 256bit encryption as well.
