robertcollier4 - The Regshot2 you are posting about is a different app. It's either a totally different freeware app that copied the layout or an app illegally using the real Regshot's code as a base and not distributing the newer source as required by the GPL. Either way, this entry is about the real Regshot, which is open source, Unicode, portable and has 32-bit and 64-bit versions (the PortableApps.com version even switches between them automatically). It's also under active development unlike 'RegShot2' which is abandoned. |

Only notice webfork's comment today. Used Universal Extractor 2 https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2764 to extract to a new folder and ran vv.exe. Still unable to get portable version to run, even as administrator.

Google reports this as a potentially hacked website. For now, I'd avoid this

Nice software. The only downside is they made it stupidly complicated to sync. And, as of this instant, I haven't figured out to have it sync automatically. Who wants to have to remember to sync????

When called from tray, "Notes Manager" took about 10 seconds to show up, this is awkward and frustrating. Overall the program does not behave well on Windows 8 x64. |

Mousinity creates an infinity effect for your cursor when it reaches the edges of your screen. For example if you go to the top of your screen, your mouse will appear on the bottom, right-to-left, etc. This is especially useful for large screens.

This looked cool, but its not what I thought it was. the description is (partially) accurate, you can't move icons around via drag and drop, doesn't support custom background images, and only one window.

Too Long Paths Detector (TLPD) is designed to tackle the 'path name too long' issue for path length limits of 255 characters. As Windows can't handle files and folders beyond that length, the program scans the directory tree, looking for files and folders with full path name longer than a specified threshold, and then alerts the user. For administrators, TLPD can also work in silent mode, with the results stored in a log file. No limitations on file system types.
Functional in 64-bit.

While guinness's command line application may be faster & better, it is still command line and so this is the version acceptable for the database.
