QTranslate is a front-end for various translation websites. Open the main window to enter or paste text or simply select text and press a hotkey for a popup translation window. The program also has the ability to search in offline XDXF dictionaries, speech recognition, text to speech synthesis, image text recognition, spell checking, virtual keyboard, search the web and more.

Supported translation services are Google Translate, Bing Translator, Promt, Babylon, Yandex.Translate, youdao, Baidu, Naver and DeepL; dictionaries: ABBYY Lingvo Live, Babylon Dictionary, Google, ImTranslator, Multitran, Oxford Learner Dictionary, Reverso, Urban Dictionary, Wikipedia and WordReference.

Although the hotkeys can be modified, the following are available by default:

Show the translation window: CTRL+Q (press CTRL twice for the main window)
Speak text: Ctrl+E
Perform a web search: Ctrl+W

IMHO, in a country at war, QTranslate author's disappearance right after February 2022 is no great mystery: he was probably drafted, had to flee or simply has more pressing business to attend to...

I signed up just to answer this, since I was in the same situation. On the official forum, I learned that its author apparently disappeared http://forum.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic=35038

But I also learned that some people created unofficial updates like the following:

This version is the one I use now and for the moment, I have not had any problems, although I warn you, I recommend being careful before downloading files from obviously unknown sources.

@nh As long as QTranslate still works, it works.
Crow Translate - https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=3046 - select text, Ctrl+Alt+E for the popup, but I find the popup to be less convenient compared to QTranslate.

Seems to happen from time to time. Looks like this guy needs a better hosting package.

I never ever thought of using the installer, I was just testing the download link- the problem with the installer download doesn't appear for the first time. However both primary download links (installer & archive) work fine now.
Thanks to the developer for maintaining and improving the program and for not ruining the interface (so far) like many other freeware developers did recently.

When I try to download the installer ("QTranslate.6.3.1.exe") I got an error message:

Fixed:
- Google Translate doesn't translate big text.
- QTranslate crash when listening to text.

Splendid front-end for translation services, indeed !

One quirk with QTranslate v6.3.0:

When speaking out composite sequences of translated terms, the speech synthesizer sometimes gets caught in a loop, starts garbling words in a staccato, and eventually crashes the program (gracefully) with :
"QT has encountered a problem and needs to close"

Works good but not my favorite due to the fact that ya have to delete all the extra text where you enter translation. The audio pronunciation for Rumanian for example is pretty weak, but is a usable translator overall.

I'v found bug, like I wont translation be open in 30 sec and it closed after a few sec maybe 3sec !!
And why is Start with Windows unclickable ??

BTW I'v update internet with no respons of my settings
