Despite the age of this program it remains maybe my most frequently used QR generator program. Still works great with creating wifi networks that are easy to join but use strong passwords.

Compared to two other unit conversion tools here on the site, it seems a little more organized than Extreme Units Converter and seems to convert a lot more than Converber.

Real nice converter .. have been using ESB Unit Converter and ESB Calculator for 9 ? years .. they are a pleasure to use.

Crashes a lot, and pieces of windows get "left behind" over the interface, like the chat text and then slowly scrolls out of view. Very bad.

This is 37mb for two reasons: a) it is a GTK app and includes the full GTK runtimes in the package, and B) it contains full localization for dozens of languages.

Removing the localizations and UPXing the GTK runtimes should bring this down to a fraction of its size.

This program has my favorite password generator function, creating alternately the most random looking passwords or, using the "pronoucable" feature some legitimately easy to remember‭ (‬yet still strong) ‬passwords.

Also,‭ ‬I‭’‬ve been using GPG4USB for my passwords for quite a while now,‭ ‬but sort of annoyed by the lack of a‭ ‬search‭ ‬function‭ (‬I‭’‬ve suggested that to the developers,‭ ‬but there hasn‭’‬t been a release in quite a while‭)‬.‭ May switch to this or ask the devs to support GPG.

Nice application but it doesn't support dual screen or extended screen display. At work I work with TWO screens, at home only with my laptop screen. This is the most important feature for me and it is unavailable :-(

This program has a ton of possible uses: quickly viewing workstation settings, copying static network settings for operating system reinstallation, quick application of network drive mappings for application installations...thanks for this!

Also leaves C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Application Data\NwDocx\document.xml and document.xml.rels that contain all of the information in the last document opened !!!!! This is NOT nice !!!!!

webfork on 2012-03-19 02:26

Neutron: True -- newer versions started writing files to AppData. The empty file trick should fix that.

webfork on 2013-02-16 00:15

Comment: viewing quality of several DOC and DOCX format files was fairly simple. Both LibreOffice and AbiWord seemed like better converters, although this would be great for getting at the document's core text.

Outstanding file manager for when you constantly work with a set list of folders. The tabbed interface, bookmarks, and ability to save sessions makes navigating folders easy and simple. I would have great difficulty on Vista/Win7 without it.

rodger123 on 2012-10-15 05:34

Portable version on authors site does not write to the registry at all-I like the stack feature as I can drag files there and then drag them to a folder on my external drive,a little buggy but very useful-could not live without it!

hamasaki on 2014-06-22 13:45

Very nice file manager. Really nice interface. A little buggy at times, but overall very good. I like the fact you can build your own tree via categories in the left menu, rather than the default c drive tree view others have. Means I can have only relevant folders showing.
