It is not stealth, it adds an uninstall entry and a pile of registry keys.

@Loreto: EMDB has been in our database since 2016 and there have been no other such reports. |
Data Crow is a powerful media cataloger and organizer that allows users to manage all their audio, software, book, movie and photo collections in one customizable tool. The program can create a huge database containing all your collected items. Connects with online services like Amazon, IMDB, Softpedia and MusicBrainz to retrieve media information and avoid manual entry. An optional internal web server and web interface can import file information (mp3, divx, xvid etc.) and enable reporting (HTML and PDF).
The program is modular to allow inclusion of new collection types (e.g. stamps, coins, action figures).
Both 32 and 64-bit versions included. Functional on Mac/Linux machines with Java installed.

Hmmm, the first activities by the new main project developer were very promising. But by now, his last activity on sourceforge has been one year ago, as well as the last activity of the origin developer Robert Jan van der Waals. No goodby or something like this. See you tomorow and they were never seen again...

A great Video Cataloguer, let down only for the lack of documentation and online support. Have more than 400 DVDs and tried both the apps in this category, stayed with PVD. Nimble and quick, doesn´t have all the importers that AMC has, but makes finding blanks and editing a breeze. Recomended.

Una base de datos para películas muy buena, sobre todo, la posibilidad de importar los datos y carátulas de páginas web. |
bookTome is a book management system that stores a wide variety of information about your book collection, whether on paper or in ebooks. The information can be sorted, searched, and tagged. Details about new books can be downloaded from Amazon, and tags can be assigned to describe/categorize each book, as well as providing statistics on your collection including how many books in the database by author and category.
Note: The program is not itself ebook reader. Instead, the program is an accessory that can keep track of reading start/end dates, research, favorite authors, page numbers and notes, maintain a book wish list, and more.
Includes Amazon and Google integration for full information on a given title and can import and export information from the bookTome database.
Note: The author has ended his work on the project. Linking to Softpedia mirror (thanks ishldgetoutmore).

Apparently development on this has ended, which is a shame. You can still find it on Softpedia: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-tools/Diary-Organizers-Calendar/bookTome.shtml

This software expects each book to be added individually, or from an imported table. It cannot walk a tree of your existing library and build its database from that. |
Fact200 is an Internet research tool that helps you find, browse and store information returned from search engines and various news sources. It is capable of prefetching result links and generating thumbnail previews so that you can view them quickly in tiled or slideshow mode. You can also store interesting web pages into a library where they are indexed and searchable.

I installed it jsut as the instructions state, I also added a file called 'prefs.ini' just like the instructions state HOWEVER, the program doesn't write ANYTHING to the prefs.ini Instead, it still writes to the appdata\roaming folder on the C: drive. |
MyLib is a cataloging program that uses its own custom database design to store a variety of different catalogs. The program allows a search for file types (e.g. audio, media, text, etc.), sizes, and string/keyword search. MyLib even has a "borrowers" feature that lets you record who has borrowed a disc from your collection.

This should be removed from the database. Neither the website, nor the link via archive.org do work, so there's no way to download. I guess the project is plain dead.

The archive.org mirror link to http://ls.iatp.org.ua/download/files/mylib093ex.zip still works
