NoteCase is a hierarchical note manager (or outliner) that helps you organize text notes in a tree-like structure within a single document. You can optionally encrypt the document with a passphrase for privacy reasons.

Note: Discontinued. There is a lite version of its successor "NoteCase Pro" here.

Writes settings to: Application folder. It does write some GTK-related settings in the user profile folder (eg. last folder accessed), but that does not affect its portability.

How to extract: Download the "portable" ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch NotecaseLauncher.exe.

notecase is a solid program I've used for about 2 years. no easter eggs, tom; it's GTK made portable, which GTK isn't supposed to do. This guy figured out how. notecase is crossplatform. if you're always going to be an M$ drone, then you don't care and should maybe keep quiet; otherwise, don't knock it Until you try it.
