Thank you Mr. Hamataro! Nothing to add to it, nothing superfluous. At last i\I've found what I've been looking for.
excellent software: very customizable, stable, been looking for something like this for a while
found it on http://web.archive.org/web/19960101-re_/http://www2.odn.ne.jp/hamataro/ThClk/indexe.htm
crc check seems to be bad but extraction is ok using ICEOWS.
Very nice little piece of software. Can be very minimalist by putting just the clock hands on the desktop. I use it daily.
There is an updated 2.x version, but this version uses the registry and does not really add any functionality.
Basically, a good little tool. But there’s room for improvement:
1 Help is written in a language not supported by my OS.
2 Readme contains gems like: “You can make up its face lovely with various options…. Defrost the lzh-file into a reasonable folder.”
3 I could only set one alarm, whereas I’d like at least 2 per day.
4 Some settings aren’t clear to me at first, e.g. “Alarm Mark appears Before xx Minutes”. I shall have to experiment.
