Doesn`t work half the time, keeps saying the epub file is corrupt. Yet, they open in Sumatra and just about any other epub viewer with no issues.

Anyone know security-wise if this is still worth using? It's now been more than two years without an update and I wonder what the risk to using it is, vs say Adobe Reader with its never-ending vulnerabilities.

@Specular: I think if you're asking a question like that, it's probably wise to use an updated viewer. There have been a few PDF vulnerabilities over the past year, but I think you have to enable various Adobe-only extras that I don't think STDU has in it's program. |
Note: this program's portability and status as freeware is under review. Proceed with caution.

This made digging through a boatload of images I'd built up SO much easier. There's just no other way to navigate thousands of icon files. It almost forms a kind of catalog so I have a clear idea of what's available. |

Oops, scratch my comment about the F2 directory, it did end up opening a directory in the temp folder. However, upon exiting the program, I went back to the "C:/DocumentsAndSettings/LocalSettings//temp/" folder and the temporary directory it created was gone. |

Almost perfect! All it lacks is the ability to run a slideshow in random order.

Been experimenting with this app again; was looking for a simple slideshow viewer that responded well to voice commands, for use with a Windows 8.1 tablet. Very good for that; still would like to see a random order option. |

This is the fastest PDF viewer. Awesome for high graphics magagine kind of PDFs. I have a lower mid range laptop. Universal viewer throws sumatra, pdfxcange, foxit out of water when it comes to speed of loading one after another high graphics page. And it's the lightest of all the PDF viewers I have tested, uses minimal CPU unlike others I have mentioned.

Ignore my previous comment. I am an idiot. It actually uses an old version of Sumatra, which was faster and lighter. |

Version 1.3.0
Theoretically the same as 1.2.17, but with the source code scrubbed for release. This is built from the GPL'd code, available in the companion directory. Version 1.2.17 The idea to hide the iconbar when focus is lost was a bad one. This version does *not* hide the iconbar automatically. |

Sorry, I just noticed the noping.net site was down. The program is now avalable at http://www.tristable.net/osiva/. The source code is also available there, Osiva is now under the GPL.
