subpad is a lightweight Notepad clone with fast find/replace, most recent documents, close on ESC, roll-up caption bar, toggle off/on URL highlighting, column selection mode and stay-on-top.

The spacing issue with non-monospace fonts seems to be in the display of subpad ... the text prints correctly spaced.

Unicode issues? I set the font to Arial and the spacing is unusual. For example, "come" renders as c o me ...

This is a really good 32 bit lightweight text editor, too bad it has gone AWOL...
