Quick correction: I was using the x86 version, because I want compatibility. It seems like the 86-bit version is not updated. Halite.exe still is v0.4.3

MobileMeter is a system monitoring utility designed for laptop PCs. It displays the CPU clock speed and temperate, battery charge/discharge rate and hard disk temperature.

Discovered this following __philippe's recommendation; the download link from webpage seems to be working now. This tiny app absolutely rocks -- I just wish that background color was user customizable...

Just as information:
When I run this program, it wanted to create a executable file in windows\system32 folder which I blocked.
